ALBUM REVIEW

Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare
Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare
Genre: Metal
Released: July, 2010
Score: 73/100
Summary: This is a decent album. It's got plenty of fast hard songs and a few slower ones. Overall I'm satisfied but I can't seem to get into it enough to recommend. It seems like they are trying to replicate Metallica and take it up a notch but it's not working. I don't sense any true anger (it feels forced in this album) like the Master of Puppet days.

Usher - Versus
Usher - Versus
Genre: R&B
Released: August, 2010
Score: 82/100
Summary: This album screams classic Usher. A few club bangers mixed with a handful of slow jams. Long time Ushers fans will like what they hear all the way up until the missing 3 tracks. 9 tracks for a full album (37 minutes) is very short. Had it included a few remixes at the end or been released as an EP that would have help.

Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
Genre: Indie Rock
Released: August, 2010
Score: 79/100
Summary: I try to avoid the indie music because I rarely enjoy listening to it. This is no exception. While the album is pleasant, and easy to listen to; it's boring and bland. I have personally never thought the "indie" sound sounded good. I guess if you are a fan or think indie music is awesome you should pick it up. Otherwise you aren't missing much.
